OPERe Launches PoC for Patient Explanation DX System "Pokesapo" with Seiko Solutions' "Compact In" — Enabling Full Electronic Consent via LINE

June 29, 2026 | Medical DX

OPERe Co., Ltd. has announced the launch of a proof-of-concept (PoC) experiment in collaboration with Seiko Solutions Inc., integrating OPERe's patient explanation DX system "Pokesapo" with Seiko Solutions' electronic consent service "Compact In." The initiative enables patients to complete the entire electronic consent process entirely within LINE. OPERe is now recruiting medical institutions to participate in the PoC.

Background

Obtaining consent forms from patients for hospitalization, examinations, and surgeries has long posed challenges in the medical field — including securing sufficient explanation time, managing paper storage and retrieval, and the psychological burden placed on patients by paper-based processes. OPERe's "Pokesapo" is a hospital service that delivers personalized patient information via LINE, and has already been adopted by over 130 medical institutions across Japan. Seiko Solutions, meanwhile, has developed "Compact In" to digitize the consent process in clinical settings. By combining the strengths of both companies, the collaboration aims to create a seamless experience where patients can go from reviewing explanations to signing consent forms using nothing but their smartphone.

How It Works

  1. The patient scans a QR code distributed at the hospital using LINE.
  2. "Pokesapo" connects to the "Compact In" system and retrieves the patient's consent form information.
  3. The consent form URL is displayed to the patient within "Pokesapo."
  4. The patient reviews the content and completes the electronic signature on the spot.

This workflow allows patients to complete the full process — including obtaining electronic consent — entirely within the "Pokesapo" LINE experience, without requiring separate apps or additional logins.

PoC Participant Recruitment

This PoC will serve as a pre-release validation phase, during which the two companies will work with participating institutions to optimize workflows for real-world operation.

  • Target participants: Medical institutions interested in introducing electronic consent acquisition (open to institutions not yet using Pokesapo).
  • Application start date: Monday, June 29, 2026.
  • Costs and conditions: To be communicated individually.

Future Plans

Based on PoC results, the two companies plan to pursue joint proposals and solution development with a focus on electronic medical record (EMR) integration for medium to large-sized hospitals — including consent acquisition flows triggered directly by EMR order linkage.

About Pokesapo

"Pokesapo" is a patient communication system that digitizes patient explanations at medical institutions. Patients receive hospitalization, examination, and surgical briefing materials directly through LINE. The platform also offers an "AI Window" add-on that automatically handles frequently asked questions 24/7, and an "Anamnesis and Questionnaire" module that lets patients complete intake forms via LINE or in-hospital tablets.
